As much as I LOVE the freedom of tone of this collection, you just have to admitt you would look like shit wearing it. But again I would rather see 1 000 unwearable collections like this than the Estrella Archs for Ungaro one (with or without Lilo). Really. I actually think than Rei Kawabuko is the best suited to fill in Alexander McQueen’s shoes. No debate. Talking about McQueen. Do you think there’s going to be a massive hyseria over this final collection? Because I’m kind dwelling over today’s presentation. I’m sooooooo dying to see it.

So, it’s quite a big day today, on the Paris fashion field.
Chanel, Mugler, Castelbajac, Chloé, Valentino and McQueen (unofficial salon presentation) [ a big “shout out” to my girl Sam (@McQueen) who had it rough these past weeks ]. Anyway, I’ll be watching and reporting on today’s extravaganza. There’s so much to say already about yesterday’s runway shows. So much clothes to pull for @DixMagazine future editorial…

So LCD Soundsystem at YSL. Wow…
Pilati: great job! Love the ecclesiastic/moniacal theme behind his collection.
Although he (apparently) denied it… (C’mon!). Mariacarla pulls the italian widow face so hard, it’s fantastic. It’s strong, it’s dark, it’s solid. It kinda says fuck off. Me like it much. I love the “rigueur” of it all. It’s so YSL. I love when a designer knows how to pay tribute to the master and bring subtleties of his own taste like that.

Seems like Mr. Elbaz didn’t take us for granted here.
Once again, the little magician pulled out a gorgeous little rabbit out of his “haut de forme”. This collection is just simply esquisite, I can’t wait to get my hands on the ornemental cocktail dresses, and that wool coat… I’m very very happy that we still have that kind of talent here in France. Fan-ta-stic.

The only collection worth our attention so far far in Paris.
Very well crafted. More grounded than usual…
Love the Jeanne d’Arc plastron and chalk spread over the black clothes.
There’s defintiely a life/death theme here.
Ashes (death) / kid drawings (life) + colors : sheer nudes, bright red and black.
This is all really interesting. And well we ove it !
